Bristol Poker Society
About Poker Society
The poker society runs tournaments for students at the University of York every Tuesday and Saturday normally in Derwent College during term times to improve awareness about the game and how to master the art of Poker. We offer a safe environment for individuals to learn the game at their own pace and participate in a friendly atmosphere.
Poker society aims to accommodate players of all levels whether you're a new player looking to have some fun or an experienced one looking for a challenge! The society run weekly tournaments at 6:30 in Pieminster and online, on Pokerstars. These take place on alternate Mondays and Tuesdays. The cities of Bristol, Danville, Richmond, Norfolk, and Portsmouth all meet a slew of qualifying conditions in a casino bill that was signed by Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D) earlier this year.
This is a society which aims to create a social setting in which students will be able to learn and improve their poker skills from experienced players of the game. We also aim to raise awareness of poker as a complex, skill-based, competitive game and reduce the negative connotations associated with it. This is also a great opportunity to chill out with friends, listen to music and have a bit of banter. Hope you can join us for an interesting year here at PokerSoc!!
